Very little.

The only really necessary action on behalf of the teacher is the initial set-up of the CLASS Challenge:

  • Register how many classes in your school want to take part
  • Each teacher creates the participating class(es) in their user account
  • They invite the students to join their class simply by passing on the class code (without a need for email addresses)
  • They ensure that everyone has joined their class before the official start of the Challenge

That's it. Teachers will receive weekly updates about how their classes are doing and about what extra challenge and bonuses are available each week. It can be useful to pass on the information to the students, who will only be able to see this when they log into their user account. As students don't have to provide any email address they won't receive any emails from us.

Teachers will also be able to see the statistics and the progress of their students at any time during the CLASS Challenge. They are obviously welcome to encourage their students or even give them time to play in class if they wish but that's entirely optional.

The students can play independently and motivate each other.
