Welcome to the Big Challenge. In this tutorial, we'll show you how to view your students' results for the contest.
Because the competition takes place at different times in different schools, compiling the results takes a little time. As soon as scores become available, a provisional version of the results is shared with teachers.
This provisional phase allows you to review the results and report any irregularities. Once the final results are published, the option to report anomalies is no longer available.
š Step 1: Log in to Your Teacher Account
Log in to your teacher account and go to the Contest tab. Then click Results.
š Step 2: Review Student Results
In the left-hand menu, you'll see a table showing each student's name, whether their result is provisional or final, their total score, and detailed scores for reading and listening.
š Step 3: Rankings
Once the final results are published, each student has three rankings: one for their school, one for their region, and one at the national level.
š Step 4: Filter and Sort
Use the filters to display a specific class or level. You can also sort by name, score, or ranking by clicking the small triangle icons next to the column titles.
ā ļø Step 5: Report Anomalies
If something doesn't look right, you can report it directly from this page. Watch our separate tutorial, Reporting an Anomaly, for details.
š©āš« Step 6: Reporting Native English Speakers
If any of your students are native English speakers, report them separately. Find out how in the Reporting Native English Speakers tutorial.
š„ Step 7: Export and Certificates
To export results or download certificates, check the Downloading Results and Certificates tutorial. Remember, certificates are only available after final results are published.

Problem: Results show 0% and ā/ā
This usually indicates that the studentās device blocked some essential contest features. Most commonly, the issue is related to:
The input interface of the contest
The platformās connection to the internet
The audio files required for the listening part
The final submission process (including the security code)
What to do:
Try using a different device
Ensure that the three URLs listed in the Checklist are unblocked on the device
In your teacher account, you can mark these cases as āAnomaly: technical problemā. This will:
Exclude the result from the official rankings
Reopen access for the student to retake the contest
Problem: A āTechnical Problemā message appears after the 55 questions
This message typically appears just before the final code is displayed. The meaning depends on the timing:
If the student completed all questions, all answers were successfully submitted. The message only affected the code display.
If the contest stopped partway through, the answers may not have been received.
What to do:
Check the studentās provisional result 24 hours after the contest in your teacher account
If the result seems implausible, mark it as āScore too lowā or āTechnical problem.ā
This will exclude the result from the ranking and allow the student to retake the contest
If the code was not shown to the student but the answers were submitted, you can retrieve the code in your teacher account 24 hours after the contest and share it with them.
Problem: The message āBirthday invalidā appears
This error usually appears when:
The student entered an invalid birthdate (for example, todayās date instead of their actual birthdate)
The student did not select the correct role (they must select āStudentā)
What to do: Check the input and try again. If the issue continues to appear, the studentās device is likely blocking the form interface or submission.
We recommend using a different device or adjusting the deviceās security settings to allow the form to display and submit properly.
Welcome to The Big Challenge! In this tutorial, we'll show you how to report anomalies in student results to ensure fairness and accuracy.
